My warmest greetings and congratulations to the Road Engineering Association of Asia and Australasia (REAAA) on another productive year amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic.

As part of my responsibility as your President, it is with great pride to be part of an organization that not only promotes innovative ways in road-related engineering, but also practices cutting-edge services that create productive technological shares within the industry.

The 16th REAAA Conference marks the beginning of revolutionary breakthroughs in the fields of road engineering by ushering the frontier of innovative development through digital evolution.

This is a challenge for myself and all my colleagues in REAAA as we continue to develop and improve our skills, practices and ways that reflect our industry and impacts on our communities by allowing the adaptation of technological movements in the completion of various tasks and industrial projects.

The pursuit for continuing development of the Philippine infrastructure is manifested in your chosen theme, “Shaping the future of Road Engineering with advanced technologies,” which utilizes state-of-the-art equipment and digital trends that evolves the efficiency and quality of built infrastructure.

These demands of our profession as engineers are crucial if our communities are going to enjoy a better quality of life through the delivery of sustainable projects.

May this conference encourage relevant discourse to address current and emerging challenges in the field of road engineering and further advance the knowledge and technical know-how of our members.

I am counting on all the road engineers in pursuing our collective endeavor to revolutionize the reforms to reach our developmental goals on our country.

I wish you a success in all your subsequent undertakings.

Congratulations and Mabuhay tayong lahat!
